Tomoko Shimotomai

Research Assistant

Tomoko calls herself an orcaholic dorka. Seeing killer whales makes her happy. She has been assisting Nancy and Alisa to collect data for over 10 years years now. She maintains the killer whale sighting log for California Killer Whale Project. She travels to San Juan Island and Vancouver Island every year with her family to see Southern Residents, Northern Residents, and transient killer whales of Pacific Northwest.

Her wish is to help the well-being of killer whales of our coast in any way she can.
