Jane Wilson
Research Assistant

Jane has been passionate about killer whales since she was 5 years old. Originally from Ireland she relocated herself to Canada in 2018 to pursue her lifelong dream of working with killer whales in the wild. Having spent time on the water among killer whale researchers in Norway, British Columbia and California she felt inspired and was delighted to become an ongoing research assistant with the California Killer Whale Project in 2022. As a vessel operator, marine educator and animal biologist she can be found most often on or close to the water. When not on the water she will happily bury herself in digital killer whale data assisting with photo analysis of killer whales found in British Columbia, Washington and California waters.
